Treatment Alternative for Safer Communities (TASC)
The TASC program provides assessment and case management services to persons who have committed substance related, non-violent crimes. The program serves as a link to the judicial system, accessing treatment alternatives to incarceration. Based on admission process findings, persons may be referred to inpatient or outpatient treatment alternatives. TASC counselors monitor and evaluate individual progress in treatment and provide criminal justice components with regular written assessments and notification of compliance or non-compliance with original court orders regarding TASC participation.
